Dr Tom G. Palmer is Senior Fellow at the Cato Institute and director of Cato University, the Institute's educational arm. He was very active in the late 1980s and the early 1990s in the propagation of classical liberal ideas in the Soviet bloc states and their successors and continues to be active throughout the region through his work with www.cato.ru, the Cato Institute's Russian-language website. He is currently working to achieve similar successes in the Middle East, as director of the Byrne Project on Middle East Liberty, which sponsors the Lamp of Liberty initiative (in Arabic at www.misbahalhurriyya.org; Kurdish and Persian versions are appearing in early 2007) and is publishing material in Arabic, Kurdish, and Persian.
He received his B.A. in liberal arts from St. Johns College in Annapolis, Maryland, his M.A. in philosophy from The Catholic University of America, Washington, D.C., and his Ph.D. in politics from Oxford University.
He regularly lectures in America, Europe, Eurasia, and the Middle East on political science, public choice, civil society, and the moral, legal, and historical foundations of individual rights and has been published widely.

Dr Adarkwah Antwi was educated to PhD level in the broad areas of land/property economics, urban land policies and property rights institutions, Adarkwah possesses considerable experience in teaching, research and international professional consultancy in urban land economics. Professional working experience has been gained significantly in Africa (Nigeria and Ghana) and United Kingdom. Currently Adarkwah leads the implementation of a World Bank/DFID project in Ghana that seeks to establish and strengthen customary land rights administration to form the backbone for an equitable, efficient and transparent land administration in Ghana.
He is a professional member of the British Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and qualified as a Chartered Surveyor and Property Investment Appraiser (MRICS). Adarkwah is also a committed academic with strong innovative, conceptual, analytical and facilitation skills.

June Arunga is a recent Law graduate from the University of Buckingham in England and the Founder of Open Quest Media LLC, a film production company in New York City. She has written and hosted four documentaries to date. "The Devil's Footpath” (2004, BBC TV), “Africa: Who is to Blame? - in which she was the co-presenter with the former president of Ghana - Jerry Rawlings (2005, BBC World TV), “Africa’s Ultimate Resource” (2005, Victory Studios). She also worked with Johan Norberg on “Globalization is Good” (2002, Channel 4 UK), based on the Award winning book by Johan Norberg “In Defence of Global Capitalism” (2001). The book has been translated in over 20 countries.
Miss Arunga has been featured on several television interviews, including ABC’s 20/20 segment with John Stossel on the “sweatshops”, during the 2003 WTO Ministerial meetings, and in 2006 on Foreign Aid. Most recently in February 2007 June co- authored a study on “The Cell-Phone Revolution in Kenya” published by Istituto bruno Leoni, a Milan based Public- policy think tank, and International Policy Network, a London based public policy charity. The study was the subject of BBC “NewsNight” mini-documentary by the same title.

Kofi Bentil is passionate about entrepreneurship. Alongside maintaining a full portfolio of teaching posts at the Kofi Annan Centre for Excellence in IT, Ashesi University and the University of Ghana Business School, he has incubated several business ventures, which are now fully operating enterprises. In 2005 he was honored by the World Bank (and partners) with an award in entrepreneurship. His academic training was in geographical systems at the University of Ghana, Legon, his professional interests however range from project management generally to specialized practice in financial and risk management.
As Head of Business Development at Rancard Solutions, he oversaw major strategic undertakings that transformed this Ghanaian industry leader in mobile-business solutions into a major innovator and pace-setting market pioneer. In 2003 he was awarded an MBA in Marketing by the University of Ghana, Legon.

Daniel Ogbarmey Tetteh Daniel is an Associate director and the Head of Databank Research & Information Ltd (DRIL). Daniel has built on the solid research foundation of Databank to the extent that DRIL is a regular contributor of equity and economic research on Ghana to leading media houses and international portals like Bloomberg and Financial Times.
Daniel is responsible for DRIL's Economic Briefing Service to companies as well as media relations. He also conducts in-house training for new recruits. Daniel's previous experience includes administrative management at City Pagers and lecturing at the School of Administration, University of Ghana, Legon.
Daniel holds a B.Sc in Business Administration (Management) with first class honours, an MBA (Marketing) from the School of Administration, University of Ghana and a Postgraduate Diploma in Corporate Finance and Management from Sorbonne University, Paris. |
